What you give us

The name you want scanned, and anything optional you add to sharpen the results: city and state, month and year of birth, past cities, phone numbers, email addresses, relatives' names, other names, businesses, handles and domains. We never ask for a Social Security number, a full date of birth or an ID document, and the scan form rejects anything that looks like a Social Security number.

What happens to it

To run a scan, search queries are sent through our search provider, Bright Data, to Google and Bing. Those queries contain the name, and where you supplied them the city, state, past cities, other names, business names, phone numbers and email addresses. Your month and year of birth and your relatives' names are never sent anywhere: they are only compared against the pages the scan finds.

For results that may be about you, we open the page itself and keep the text around each mention of the name, so we can tell you apart from people with the same name.

Where it is kept

Scans and their results are stored in a database hosted in the United States. Scan pages are not indexed by search engines, and each one is reachable only by its private link. Anyone you share that link with can see the scan.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Deleting a scan

Open the scan and press Delete scan. The scan, every result it found and every removal request tracked under it are deleted permanently.
