Who you can scan

Yourself, or someone who has given you permission. Each scan records that you confirmed this before it ran.

What you cannot use it for

Saygudbye is not a consumer reporting agency, and its results are not consumer reports. You may not use anything it finds, in whole or in part, to decide on anyone's employment, housing, credit, insurance or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use it to locate, stalk, harass or harm anyone.

What it does and does not do

It searches the public web and reports what it finds, sorted by how likely each result is to be about the person scanned. Those judgments are automated and can be wrong; check a result before acting on it.

Where a site offers a way to request removal, Saygudbye drafts the request and prefills the form. You submit it. Removal is decided by each site, is not guaranteed, and some removals are temporary. Court records, news, forums and videos generally have no removal path, and the tool says so rather than filing a request that will be ignored.

Accuracy

Search results change constantly. A scan shows what was found at the time it ran, and a page that is not found may still exist.
